Black - Spiritual Meaning and Symbolism

Black is the absence of light and hence can be linked to a Lack of Flow. Black is often associated with Blockage and Stuck Energy. Hence, if you are a healer and see a dark spot or area in the aura this area needs your attention. A trauma or disease can sometimes also be seen as a black formation in the aura.

Black is also associated with sorrow and is often the color worn at funerals. Black can also represent the mysterious or fear. In some cases, black can be associated with evil. At least evil is often depicted in black.

Associated Chakra: No associated chakra.

Healings with Black: Black (and gray) is not recommended to be used in healings. Black more serves to identify areas that need attention when you are performing the healing.

Soul Color: Black is normally not associated with any of the stages of the soul’s advancement. If black is seen in relation to the soul it is probably more related to some sort of blockage or dense energy. You can learn more about the colors of the soul in the section below.

White – Spiritual Meaning and Symbolism

White - Spiritual Meaning and Symbolism

White is the combination of all the colors (which gives it special properties). It is associated with Purity, The Divine, Angels, Protection, Peace, Healing, Faith, and Innocence.

Angels are often depicted as white or show up as white beings. This is linked to their pure and divine nature. To learn more about angels, you can read this article: What are angels and how to get their help?

Associated Chakra: Crown chakra that is linked to spirituality and connection to the divine. The crown chakra is also associated with Violet.

Healing with White: White is another great all-round color to visualize your healings, particularly in relation to cleansing. It has a very soft energy but will still work at a deeper level than most believe. It can be used in relation to blockages in chakras or other places. If you have used the white color to cleanse it is important to use another color afterwards to fill the area. Otherwise, you can leave it at bit op. If in doubt use green or blue afterwards.

Associated Element: Air

Soul Color: White is associated with the young soul. You can learn more about the colors of the soul in the section below.

Healing: Gold can be a very powerful color to use for healing. But it is not recommended for everyone to use unless you are an experienced healer or your intuition is clear that you should use it. If you are uncertain about this, talk to your Reiki teacher (or equal) before using gold in your healings.

Soul Color: Intermediate level of advancement. You can learn more about the colors of the soul in the section below.

Healing with Colors

Healing with Colors

If you are a Reiki practitioner, you are probably familiar with the visualization of colors to support your healings. For instance, white and green are good all-round colors while Pink is suitable to calm down your client if he/she is stressed.
Let your intuition guide you on what colors to use. Your spirit guides might also step in and show you what colors are suitable for a particular healing situation.

The Colors of the Soul

In the non-physical dimension, the soul can be experienced as a glowing orb with a color. The color reflects how experienced or evolved the soul is and is linked to the age of the soul. The very young soul is seen as white. The color gradually changes as the soul advances and evolves through physical lives (incarnations) and evolution in the non-physical dimension. The color evolves from white to gray, reddish/pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, and purple.

When the soul is evolving from one level to the next, tints or traces of the next color can be seen.

Even though time does not exist in the non-physical dimension, the age of the soul can be measured in Earth years or number of lives (incarnations) completed. When we are in the blue and purple area it is my experience we are then talking thousands of lived lives and soul age that can be measured in millions of Earth years.

As the soul evolves, it starts to have more responsibilities. From approximately yellow, the soul starts to take on the role of guide for younger souls. Souls can also serve as teachers in the spiritual dimension.

The term “Old soul” can be applied to souls that have reached the blue state and higher.

Purple is associated with Ascended Masters which means the soul has completed its incarnation cycle and no longer needs to incarnate. In some cases, they however choose to do so at times to assist or guide on Earth.

Colors that do not exist on Earth

It is reported by many that colors exist that do not “exist” on Earth. These are reported by people who are able to visit other places or dimensions in the Universe for instance during meditation. This has also been reported in relation to near-death experiences. It is hard to imagine a color you have never seen and is a really interesting subject. It is of course related to our physical eye and the physical dimension has some limitations that only allow us to experience certain colors.
